Privacy notice
Last updated 14 October 2026
This notice explains what happens to your information when you visit the Sift Audio website. The short version: we don't track you, and nothing you try in the demo leaves your device.
What this website doesn't do
- It sets no cookies and uses no local storage.
- It runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and loads nothing from third-party services.
- It has no forms, accounts or sign-ups, so it doesn't collect your name or email address.
The interactive demo
When you drop a folder or choose files in the demo, your browser reads them on your device to show measurements such as sample rate, length and peak level. Your files and filenames are never uploaded or sent anywhere, and they're gone as soon as you reset the demo or close the page.
Hosting
Like any website, this one is served by a hosting provider. When your browser requests a page, the provider's servers receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request, and may keep it in server logs for security and reliability. We don't use these logs to identify or profile visitors.
The Sift Audio app
This notice covers the website only. In the current test builds, the Sift Audio app analyses audio on your own computer without uploading it or needing an account — see Privacy & portability. The app will come with its own privacy policy at launch.
Changes and questions
